Change settings

In the top right corner of the green bar, you’ll see a button with your initial. Click on it, then select Settings. A new tab will open, allowing you to configure the following:

Select user

Log in or out with an account.

Theme

Choose between light or dark mode for your extension.

Language

Choose between Dutch or English.

Default selected vault

Select a default vault. This vault will automatically be selected when you're prompted to save new items on a webpage after logging in.

Webpage interaction

Choose whether a window should open next to input fields on web pages. This allows you to quickly select and fill in items from your vault.

Vault popup

Set whether you always want to see a screen with all vaults after logging in.

Notifications

Decide whether you want to receive notifications. The table below shows the situations in which notifications can be configured.

  • Notify me when there is no active user

    You receive a notification when you log in to a website while you are not logged in to your browser extension. You can log in via the notification.

  • Notify me when no vaults are opened

    You receive a notification when you log in to a website while none of your vaults are unlocked. The notification allows you to unlock your vault(s).

  • Notify me about new savable items

    You receive a notification when you log in to a website using login details that you have not yet saved as an item in your KPN Password Manager. The notification will ask if you want to create and save the item.

  • Notify me about existing items

    You receive a notification when you log in to a website using login details that you have already saved in an item, but for example with a different password or without an URL. The notification will ask if you want to update the item.

Password generation

Adjust the settings for generating passwords here. The length and variety of characters determine the complexity and therefore the security of your password.
